Private Piano & Keyboard Lessons

Transform Your Learning & Performing

Within lessons, students increase a variety of skills such as hand-eye coordination, ear training, and more. Additionally, lessons at Matt Safley Music go beyond piano fundamentals!

The program is designed to build confidence, tenacity, and creativity as students learn to play, improvise and perform.

Each year, students learn proper performance preparation and are taught to give feedback through performance opportunities and workshops. Their learning is then put into action with the opportunity to share their growth and inspire peers through recitals. A transformational experience with a life-altering instrument.

St Louis Piano Lessons

Lessons for All Ages, Beginner to Advanced

Matt Safley Music offers piano and keyboard lessons for children and adults and advanced players. Never played the piano before? No problem—beginners welcome.

In an introductory lesson, you'll learn a handful of basics such as:

  • Hand placement
  • Recognition of simple music notation
  • How to play a simple melody

Progress is evaluated regularly, and when it's time, students move up to amplified and more challenging intermediate to advanced piano/keyboard techniques.
